Global Finance Transformation Programme

 

The structuring, planning and ongoing management of a strategic work-stream to support a large-scale, global, Finance Transformation programme for Pearson PLC.  Processence focused on the design and management of a horizontal work-stream designed to support the people, organisational change and communications aspects of a series of process driven work-streams.  Largely, but not exclusively, focused on support for the outsourcing of core business processes to IBM.

 

Global Payroll Assessment

 

Assessment of the feasibility of moving Pearson group companies (excluding North America) to a single Payroll provider.  Assessment of key issues, concerns, costs and potential service providers.  Assessment recommended that the Finance department (leading the assessment) should instigate a combined HR/Finance strategy group to look at the greater feasibility of a selecting and implementing an integrated HR Information system and payroll provide.  Project is ongoing as at May 2011.

 

Business Performance Management (BPM) Programme

 

The structuring and planning of a BPM programme focused on Pearson Education International.  Management of several work-streams looking at existing reports and the Planning & Forecasting cycle.  Use of LEAN techniques to identified non-valued added steps and workshops to get buy-in to new approaches.
